This beautiful architectural home renovation and extension started as an existing double brick two storey home. The existing home was arranged as split living with the owners Nigel & Amy living on the first floor with their family. The ground floor level was also equipped with its own kitchen allowing the owners to rent this space out.
The pain point for our clients was not having any off street parking (street parking in the area is notoriously difficult to find) or a garage which also meant no storage. Our clients also felt that and the connection between spaces was clunky, creating hard to use areas of the home.
The objective when we began this build was to provide off street parking with an underground two car garage which had the capacity to accommodate a media room, plus internal stairs leading from the garage to the living room on the ground floor.
As well as the addition of a garage we were able to extend their living space over the top of the garage providing the clients with a beautiful open plan living arrangement. Creating the open plan living area on the ground floor opened up the potential of the 1st floor which we took full advantage of. We were able to add a juliet balcony with stunning views of Sydney Harbour and a master bedroom with ensuite, office space and attic space.
